Strong Student Leadership

The Strong Student Leadership program is one way The Foundation plants seeds of leadership in the next generation. Strong Student Leadership provides practical, real-world development to help each student clarify their identity and purpose, strengthen their ability to form healthy, meaningful relationships, and get a sense of direction for vocation in life. Students attend weekly class sessions and engage in one-on-few mentoring relationships to help them personalize and apply what they are learning.

Currently, we are developing and cultivating strong leadership within 600+ students in the Catawba Valley area. We work with Newton-Conover, Hickory High, Maiden, Fred T. Foard, Alexander Central, South Caldwell, Bunker Hill, Hibriten, West Caldwell, Draughn and Patton high schools.

We offer this program free of charge to the students and school systems with the help of businesses in the community that sponsor each school.
